When we’re traveling North through San Ramon and Danville in the carpool lane on I680, passing the cars “parked” in the other lanes, we jokingly start saying things like, “Have I told you lately how much I love you?”

The funniest thing that has happened in our carpool was when one of my passengers fell asleep and started snoring out loud, and I mean LOUD.  Everyone got an initial laugh out of it, but I couldn't stop laughing.  I almost had to pull over and let someone else drive.  Finally, when we almost reached our destination, the passenger awoke to see me still laughing uncontrollably.  (It was that kind of laugh that almost sounds like you are crying and it actually hurts your stomach.)  The passenger had no idea why I was laughing until one of the other passengers explained it to him.
